San Carlos Apache Tribe

The Apache Tribe of San Carlos is a warm and inviting community located 90 miles east of Phoenix. The moderate climate of the reserve makes it suitable for outdoor activities and learning about the exciting history of 1.8 million acres of natural land. In addition, the four lakes managed by the San Carlos Recreation and Wildlife Department are a paradise for fishers.

Besh Ba Gowah

About 700 years ago, the Salado Culture built a pueblo at the Besh-Ba-Gowah Archaeological Park. As a result, among the most comprehensive single-site collections of prehistoric artifacts in the Southwest can be found at the Globe archaeological site. Climbing staircases to the second-story chambers and seeing the artifacts from this advanced civilization are great ways to see the historic structure.
