Historic Gila County Sheriff’s Office and Jail

The Historic Gila County Sheriff’s Office and Jail was built back in 1910. The jail served the Arizona territory from 1910 until 1912 on February 14th when Arizona became a state. It then served the state from 1912 until its last prisoner in 1981. The historic jail is now a museum and visitor center.
