Globe Arizona used to be a mining town. Tourists can see first-hand accounts of the Besh-Ba-Gowah Archaeological Park. The Salt River Canyon Trip is a spectacular journey that takes you into some gorgeous mountain scenery. In addition, here are some ideas for things you can do at Globe.

Historic Gila County Sheriff’s Office and Jail

The old jail has already been turned into a museum and visiting center. The Haunted Registry also includes the Historic Gila County Jail, which is said to be haunted by a variety of paranormal events. Regularly by appointment or on the second Saturday of every month for the public, guided tours are available.

Chalo’s Casa Reynoso

The Pickle Barrel Trading Post is an excellent place for the whole family to visit. The 8,000 square feet of Southwest-style home furnishings are open to the public. Make a pit stop at one of those excellent Mexican restaurants in the area which supply so many of the state’s best Mexican cuisine.
