Spectacular Scenery Globe (AZ)

Enjoy strolling around the historic city of Globe that offers scenic views of numerous mountains. Founded as a mining camp dating back to the 18th century, the Globe was named after a globe-shaped piece of pure silver found in the area. The city’s tourism is increasing as countless people explore the town to experience the outdoor adventures and colorful history that is noticeable upon arrival.

Salt River Canyon Scenic Drive

If you are up for a trip along the highways of Globe, Arizona then a good way to start is by driving along the Salt River Canyon. The scenic drive takes you to the amazing viewpoint of Salt River Canyon revealing the wilderness and its beautiful sights. Explore and take pictures of the wonderful mountains, desert and lake with a good road that is safe to use.

Besh Ba Gowah Park

A pueblo constructed by the Salado Culture 700 years ago is now a national museum in Globe, Arizona. Home to the ancient Salado people with 200 rooms, the museum has different kinds of artifacts, jewelry, stone tools, houseware and it also has a botanical garden. The ancient village was restored to provide a glimpse into the historic culture and lifestyle of the people who occupied this region hundreds of years ago.

Seneca Lake

A good spot for fishing enthusiasts around Globe, Arizona is Seneca Lake. The lake offers catfish, sunfish, trout and largemouth bass. Abandoned and vandalized buildings are found around the area in what the locals call a “ghost town”.  If you have plans on visiting the area, make sure to secure a permit from the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation to enter and do some fishing.
